On early Sunday morning, the complex is already filled up with Jakartans doing their Sunday morning activities. Many like to walk around the monument, some exercise and some just enjoy the food that the peddlers sell. I noticed many games of futsal on any space that the groups can find, on asphalt or on grass, or any piece of free space that they can find. (Futsal is soccer with normally teams of five and is played on hard ground, more or less the size of a basketball court.
[ID] Ini adalah simbol kota Jakarta: Monumen Nasional (Monas). Di pagi hari Minggu, kompleks tersebut dipenuhi oleh orang-orang Jakarta yang melakukan aktifitas Minggu paginya. Banyak yang suka berjalan mengelilingi monumen, ada juga yang berolahraga dan ada juga yang datang hanya untuk makan apa yang dijual oleh pedagang-pedagang makanan. Saya lihat banyak permainan futsal ditempat seadanya, diatas aspal ataupun diatas rumput.
