[EN] The park was previously a soccer field, but as it was not used very much, the local government turned it into a park; a park with grass, trees, plants, fountains, basketball courts and futsal courts (indoor football, but not necessarily played indoor; it uses a cement court instead of a grass field).

[EN] The Dutch soldier is about to execute the two Batavian locals. This exhibit is shown in Museum Fatahillah, Kota Tua (Old Town), Jakarta. The exhibit depicts the oppression suffered by the local Batavians. We loathed the Dutch oppressing colonial power in that era when we learned this at school. Of course in the modern world, we are happy to see the Dutch Amsterdam Ajax making goals in the soccer field.
